How review removal works with Removal Lab

No sixty page onboarding deck. No discovery call that is secretly a sales call. Here is the whole thing. How review removal works at Removal Lab is simple on purpose. You send us what is out there. We check it against the platform rules for free. We build the case and file it. You pay only when the platform removes it. Most clients hear back from us within one business day of their first message.

How review removal works in one minute

Four steps. Send, check, file, pay on result. Every step is handled by a real specialist, not a chatbot and not a ticket queue.

Step by step

StepWhat happensWhat you do
1. SendYou share the link or a screenshot by WhatsApp, email or the short form on this site. Two minutes.
2. CheckA specialist reads it against the platform policy and tells you honestly whether it qualifies.Nothing. We reply within one business day.
3. FileWe gather evidence with you, pick the exact policy and file through the right channel. If refused, we handle the appeal.Answer a few questions and share records if you have them.
4. ResultThe platform decides. If the content is removed, you pay the quoted amount for that item.Confirm you can see it is gone.

Why the policy check comes first

Most of the damage in this industry comes from companies that take money before they know whether a case can work. We refuse to do that. If a review is honest criticism from a real customer, we say so and we help you reply instead. How review removal works should never depend on hiding the truth from the client.

What we need from you

Who handles your case

Real people, in Toronto and New York, who do this every day. You get a named contact, plain language updates and no pressure. Confidential from the first message.

How review removal works on each platform

We do not delete anything ourselves. No one outside a platform can. What we do is use each platform’s own report process properly. Here is how review removal works on the platforms we see most.

PlatformHow a report is filedWhat happens next
Google reviewsFrom the Business Profile: Read reviews, the Report icon, a reason, then Send report. Or through the Reviews Management Tool.Statuses move from Decision pending to a decision. If Google finds no violation, there is a one time appeal. See how to remove a Google review.
TrustpilotThe business flags the review with a reason, such as not based on a genuine experience or contains personal information.Trustpilot says flagged reviews stay visible while it checks, except harmful or illegal ones. See Trustpilot review removal.
YelpThe business reports the review.Yelp lists reasons it may remove a review, such as an apparent competitor, a former employee or a review not about the reviewer’s own experience. See Yelp review removal.
RedditThe overflow menu on the post or comment, then Report.Moderators enforce community rules. Reddit admins enforce the sitewide Reddit Rules. See Reddit content removal.
Google SearchResults about you, the removal request form or the Refresh Outdated Content tool. Each request shows a status in your account. See Google search result removal.

What a strong case file looks like

Platforms read a lot of reports. The ones that win are short and specific. This is the heart of how review removal works at Removal Lab. Every case we file has the same four parts.

  1. One policy, named exactly. The words the platform itself uses, not a general complaint.
  2. Evidence for each point. A booking search with no match. A staff list with a leaving date. A screenshot with a time stamp.
  3. A short timeline. When the review appeared, what happened before and what happened after.
  4. A plain summary. Two or three sentences a reviewer can read in a few seconds.

Why we turn some cases down

A weak report is not harmless. On Google you get one appeal per reported review. Spending it on a review that breaks no rule leaves nothing for later. That is a big part of how review removal works well: knowing when not to file.

How review removal works when the platform says no

A first no is common. It is not the end of a good case.

How long it takes, in the platforms’ own words

We never invent timelines. These are the timings the platforms publish. Knowing how review removal works also means knowing what nobody can speed up.

Platform or toolWhat it says about timing
Google review reportsGoogle says evaluation typically takes several days.
Google review appealsGoogle does not publish a time.
Google Results about youGoogle says the confirmation email usually arrives within a few hours.
Google Refresh Outdated ContentGoogle says processing can take a few days.
Reddit removalsReddit does not publish a time. The person who posted is told the reason and how to appeal.

A worked example of how review removal works

This is a made up example to show the steps. It is not a client case.

A small hotel sends us three one star Google reviews from the same week.

  1. Send. The manager sends the three links by WhatsApp.
  2. Check. We reply the next business day. One reviewer is a former receptionist who left in a dispute. Two are real guests unhappy about the noise.
  3. File. We report the first review under conflict of interest, with the staff record and the leaving date. We do not report the other two.
  4. Reply. We help the manager write two calm public replies about the noise.
  5. Result. Google removes the first review. The hotel pays for that one item only. The other two stay, answered well.

That is how review removal works when it is done honestly. One strong case, filed once, instead of three weak ones. See pricing for how the fee works.

How Removal Lab works

  1. Tell us what is out there. Send the link or a screenshot. It takes two minutes.
  2. We check it against the platform rules. A real specialist reads the content and tells you honestly whether it qualifies. No charge for this.
  3. We build the case and file it. Evidence, the right policy, the right channel.
  4. You pay only when it is gone. No upfront payment on qualifying cases. If the platform says no, you owe nothing.

What we will never do

In the United States the FTC rule on consumer reviews, in force since late 2024, bans fake reviews and bans suppressing reviews through threats or intimidation. Working by the rules is the only way that protects you.

Frequently asked questions

How fast do you reply?

No. WhatsApp or email is fine. Call if you prefer.

Do you handle the appeal if the platform refuses?

Yes. On Google that is the one time appeal, filed with the strongest evidence.
