Someone searches your name or your company. What they find in the first ten seconds decides whether they call, book, hire or walk. Online reputation management services exist to shape those ten seconds. Done honestly, that means removing what breaks the rules, resolving what can be resolved and building the content that deserves to rank. Done dishonestly, it means fake reviews, empty promises and a bigger problem six months later. Removal Lab does the first kind, from Toronto and New York, for businesses and individuals across six countries.
What online reputation management services include
The phrase covers a wide range of work. Some companies sell only suppression. Some sell only monitoring software. We organise ours around the four things that change search results.
| Service | What it does | When it is the right tool |
|---|---|---|
| Review removal | Reports reviews that break Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, Glassdoor, Indeed, TripAdvisor or other platform rules, with evidence | A specific review from a non customer, a competitor, a former employee or someone revealing private details |
| Search result removal | Files Google policy and legal requests, pursues removal at the source | Personal information, doxxing, explicit images, defamation, outdated pages |
| Harmful content removal | Reports harassment, impersonation and private information on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and forums | A thread or post targeting a person or business |
| Honest suppression | Builds and promotes content you control so it outranks what cannot be removed | News coverage, court records, old content that no platform will take down |
| Monitoring | Watches for new reviews, mentions and search changes and alerts you | After a removal, or for any business with a public profile |
| Response drafting | Writes the public replies that calm a situation and read well to the next customer | Every case, whether or not removal is possible |
Why most online reputation management services start in the wrong place
The usual pitch is suppression. Pay a monthly fee, we will publish a lot of content and the bad result will slide down. Sometimes it does. But suppression is slow, it is expensive and it leaves the problem in place. If the bad result is a review that breaks a platform rule, or a page that breaks Google’s personal information policy, the right first move is to remove it. That costs nothing unless it works and it works in days, not months. We start every case with the removal question and only move to suppression for what stays.
The order we work in
1. What breaks a rule and can be reported? 2. What can be resolved with a reply or a request to the source? 3. What stays and needs to be outranked? 4. What needs watching so it does not happen again?
Review removal
This is the core of our online reputation management services and the reason most clients find us. Every major platform publishes rules about who may write a review and what it may contain. A review that breaks those rules can be reported and removed. A review that is merely negative cannot. We read each review against the platform’s own policy, tell you honestly which ones qualify, gather the evidence and file the report in the platform’s own language. On qualifying cases there is no upfront payment. If the platform says no, you owe nothing.
Platform pages: Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, Glassdoor, Indeed, TripAdvisor, BBB and fake reviews across every platform.
Search result and personal information removal
Google removes results that show personal contact information, ID and financial details, medical records, explicit images shared without consent and doxxing content. It also acts on legal grounds, including the right to be forgotten in the UK and EU. We file those requests, pursue removal at the source where the page can come down and advise honestly on what will stay. See Google search result removal and our guide on how to remove your name from Google.
Harmful content on social platforms and forums
Reddit threads, Facebook posts, Instagram accounts, TikTok videos and X posts each have reporting routes for harassment, impersonation and private information. The reports work when they name the right rule and show the breach. We handle Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X, along with complaint sites and news articles, where we are candid about the limits.
Honest suppression
Some results stay. A news story about a settled case. A court record. A genuine review from a real customer. For those, the only honest online reputation management services are the ones that build something better. That means a well made website on the name, complete professional profiles, a consistent presence on two or three platforms and, where it fits, published work, interviews and press. Google ranks what it trusts. Over months, your own pages earn that trust and the old result moves down. We quote this as a monthly plan and we label every forecast as a projection, not a promise, because nobody controls Google.
What we do not do: publish dozens of thin profiles, buy links or create fake press. Google ignores the first, penalises the second and the third is dishonest. Suppression that works is simply good content, patiently built.
Monitoring
After a removal, the next review or post is the one that matters. Monitoring watches your name and your company across review platforms, search results and social mentions and alerts you when something new appears. Early reports are stronger reports. A review flagged on the day it is posted, with the evidence ready, has a better chance than one found three months later. We offer monitoring as a monthly plan and fold it into any ongoing engagement.

How to tell honest online reputation management services from the rest
| Honest | Walk away |
|---|---|
| Explains that the platform decides and nobody can promise a removal | Promises any review or page can be removed |
| Charges for removal only when it works | Takes a large fee before anyone has read the review |
| Tells you when a review does not qualify | Reports every negative review and calls it strategy |
| Refuses to post fake reviews or fake content | Offers to add five star reviews as part of the package |
| Labels suppression timelines as projections | Promises page one in thirty days |
| Shows you the reports it filed and the replies it received | Keeps the process a secret |
| Has real offices and real people you can call | Has a form, a chatbot and no phone number |
In the United States the FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, in force since late 2024, bans fake reviews and bans suppressing reviews through threats or intimidation. Any provider that uses those methods exposes your business, not just itself. We built our online reputation management services around that rule before it existed, because the platforms’ own guidelines said the same thing.
Online reputation management services for businesses and for individuals
The two jobs look similar from outside and are quite different inside. A business has a Google Business Profile, review platforms, a BBB record, employer review sites and a brand name that competitors can abuse. The work is mostly review removal, response drafting and keeping the profiles healthy. The measure of success is calls, bookings and applications.
An individual has a name and everything attached to it. The work is mostly search result removal, people search opt outs, forum and social reporting and, where a result will not move, a personal website and profiles that outrank it. The measure of success is a clean first page when a recruiter, a landlord or a new partner types the name in. Our online reputation management services cover both and the first call tells us which one you need.
Questions people ask before they choose online reputation management services
Will the review or page come back?
A removed review can be reposted by the same person under a new account. A removed page can be republished elsewhere. We explain this before you start, keep the evidence on file so a second report is faster and offer monitoring so you hear about it on day one rather than month three.
Can you do this quietly?
Yes. Nothing we file is public. Reports go to the platform, not to the reviewer. Response drafts are posted by you under your own name. For individuals, every conversation is confidential and we never contact anyone on your behalf without your say so.
Do we need a lawyer?
Usually not. Most removals are policy matters, not legal ones. When a legal route is the right tool, for defamation or a delisting request, we say so and work with lawyers in the relevant country. The lawyer quotes separately and you decide.
What if nothing can be removed?
Then we tell you, for free, on the first call. Honest online reputation management services include saying no. If the right answer is a good reply and a patient suppression plan, that is what we recommend, with the timeline labelled as a projection and the cost written down before anything starts.
How do you report progress?
In plain language, as it happens. Every report filed, every reply from a platform and every result, with dates. Monthly plans come with a written monthly report. You never have to ask what is going on.

What online reputation management services cost with Removal Lab
The check is free and confidential. Removal work on qualifying cases has no upfront payment: you pay only when the review, result or post is gone. Suppression and monitoring are monthly plans, quoted after the check, with the scope and the reporting written down. Response drafting is a small fixed piece of work. There are no long contracts and no fees for things that did not happen. Our pricing page explains the models in full and our what we cannot remove page explains the limits before you spend anything.
What happens when you get in touch
- You send the link, the name or the company. WhatsApp, email or the two field form. No long questionnaire.
- We run the check. A specialist looks at what people actually see when they search and maps every result to a route: remove, resolve, outrank or watch.
- You get a plain answer within one business day. What qualifies, what does not, what it would cost and how long each part is likely to take, labelled as a projection.
- Work starts when you say so. Removals first, because they are fastest and cost nothing unless they work. Then the rest.
- You see everything. The reports filed, the replies received and the results, in plain language, as they happen.
What we will never do
- Promise a removal. The platform decides, not us.
- Post fake reviews or pay anyone to delete a review.
- Pressure, threaten or try to identify a reviewer.
- Charge an upfront fee on a case that does not qualify.

Frequently asked questions
What do online reputation management services actually do?
They change what people find when they search for you or your business. That means removing content that breaks platform rules or the law, resolving what can be resolved, building content that ranks well for your name and monitoring for new problems.
Can a reputation management company delete reviews?
No company can delete a review directly. Platforms decide. An honest company builds a case under the platform’s rules and files it. Removal Lab works this way and charges only when the review is removed.
How much do online reputation management services cost?
Removal work is pay on results with no upfront payment on qualifying cases. Suppression and monitoring are monthly plans quoted after a free check. We never charge for the check.
How long does reputation management take?
Removals can take days to weeks depending on the platform. Suppression takes months because Google needs time to trust new content. We label every timeline as a projection, not a promise.
Do you post fake reviews or fake content?
Never. Fake reviews break platform rules and, in the United States, the FTC rule on consumer reviews. They also put the client’s own profile at risk.
Which countries do you serve?
Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland, from offices in Toronto and New York.
